Page Nine – Listing agreement
Last updated 5 November 2026
This agreement is between you and 2764211 Alberta Inc. ("Page Nine", "we", "us"), 157 Covehaven Gardens NE, Calgary, Alberta T3K 6A2, Canada. It applies when you send an entry to be listed on Page Nine, and while your page is listed. By ticking "I agree" in the listing flow, you accept it.
1. Who can list
You can list on Page Nine if you:
- are 18 or older
- do independent work in a city where Page Nine is open (currently Calgary)
- meet the listing rules
If you list for a business or studio, you confirm you're allowed to agree to this for it.
2. Applying
- Sending an entry is free.
- We read every entry and reply within two weeks. We check that it fits the listing rules; we don't judge your taste or style. We may approve it, ask you to change something, or decline it. You can change your entry and send it again any time.
- If we approve your entry, we email you a link to set up your membership. The link works for 14 days. If you don't set up membership in that time, the approval ends and your entry goes back to a draft. You can apply again any time.
3. Your page and your photos
- You own your work, photos and words. This agreement doesn't change that.
- You give Page Nine permission to show your page, photos and words (including any "In your words" answers) in the Page Nine app, on the share card at pagenine.ca/p/[your name], in the Letter, in Page Nine's social media posts, and when we tell people about Page Nine (for example, in press). This includes resizing or cropping photos to fit, and shortening your answers if we feature you. We don't pay for this permission and you don't pay for it either; it's part of being listed.
- This permission ends when your page is deleted. Letters already sent and past social posts can't be unsent, but if you ask, we'll take down past Page Nine social posts about you where we reasonably can.
- You confirm that you made or have the right to share everything you upload, that anyone in your photos agreed to be shown, and that your page is accurate.
4. Keeping your page right
- You can edit your page any time in the app. Changes go live straight away.
- Keep it honest and up to date: your work, your prices and how to reach you.
- Follow the rules of your trade where they apply, such as food permits or health inspections.
- If your page breaks the listing rules or this agreement, or we get a report we need to look into, we may ask you to change it, pause it (hide it while we sort it out) or remove it. We'll usually email you first. For anything unsafe or illegal, we may pause straight away and email you after.
5. Membership
- Price: the monthly or yearly price shown on the Page Nine membership page when you join, plus applicable taxes. You pay on the Page Nine website through Stripe. Nothing is bought in the app.
- What it does: membership keeps your page listed. It doesn't buy a better position, a feature, a place in a collection or anything else.
- Renewal: your membership renews automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel any time from the membership page on our website. Your page stays live until the end of the period you've paid for, then it's paused.
- Refunds: we don't give refunds for part of a month or year, except where the law requires.
- If a payment fails: your page stays live for 7 days while the payment is retried and we email you. If it's still unpaid after 7 days, your membership ends and your page is paused.
- Paused pages: nothing is deleted. Pay again any time and your page comes back exactly as it was. If a page stays paused for 12 months, we delete it and its photos. We'll email you 30 days before.
- Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before a price change, and it applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
6. Features and collections
- The monthly feature: each month we feature one person. Anyone listed can be featured. Answering the optional "In your words" questions and adding studio photos helps.
- Collections: we also put together small collections of people across niches (for example, "For a winter dinner party"). Anyone listed can be included.
- We move features and collections around so everyone listed gets a turn over time. They're never paid for, traded or based on how long you've been a member, and we decide who is included. Being included isn't a ranking.
7. Your monthly numbers
While your page is live, we'll email you once a month with how many times your page was opened, how many times Contact or one of your links was tapped, and how many times your page was shared. These are counts only: we never know or tell you who the visitors were. The numbers are private to you and never shown in the app.
8. Leaving
You can leave any time. Cancel your membership and your page is paused at the end of the paid period, or delete your account in the app and your page, photos and account are deleted straight away (any membership is cancelled; see section 5 on refunds).
9. What Page Nine is and isn't
- Page Nine is a directory. We help people find you. We aren't part of your work, sales or bookings, and we don't take a cut.
- Anything you arrange with someone who finds you on Page Nine is between you and them, including prices, payment, refunds and quality. You're responsible for your own work, licences, insurance and taxes.
- We can't promise any number of visits, messages or customers.
10. Our responsibility
We'll take reasonable care running Page Nine, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost business or profits
- our total responsibility to you is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem
If your page or anything you upload causes a legal claim against Page Nine (for example, someone else's photo used without permission), you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.
11. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement. We'll email you at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If you keep your page listed after that, the new version applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
12. Ending this agreement
You can end it by leaving (section 8). We can end it by removing your page if you seriously or repeatedly break this agreement or the listing rules, or if we stop running Page Nine in your city. If we close Page Nine in your city for reasons that aren't your fault, we'll refund any unused part of a yearly membership.
13. Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy.
14. The law that applies
This agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
